Elite Emergency Response was founded by Stephani Laing, who began working in private event standby work in 2003.
While working as an onsite EMT for Cirque Du Soleil the first year they came to Calgary, she recognized a need for quality onsite EMS staff at special events to provide peace of mind for patrons and organizers along with the ability to quickly manage emergencies and injuries while waiting for ambulance response.
In addition to event standby, Elite has a training and public education division. Courses include first aid, CPR, ACLS and specialty courses for both private groups and the public. Stephani received a Priory Vote of Thanks from the Order of Canada in 2006 for instructional excellence for teaching Emergency Medical Responders, and has written a textbook on first aid and CPR for laypersons.
After years of success and growth to become an industry leader in both private event medical staffing and training, Elite incorporated in 2016.
